Family systems. Masterclass on supervision and case constellations with the Life Integration Process (LIP according to Nelles)

Language: English

Content

This masterclass combines supervision- and case-constellations with the Life Integration Process (LIP), as developed by Wilfried Nelles, and demonstrates the resulting applications and insights. The focus is on the connection between professional and personal issues, as well as on the practice and theory of phenomenological-systemic constellation work in a supervisory context. As in Gestalt therapy, the phenomenological approach serves as a basis here. You can bring cases, issues or questions from your professional life to the constellation and reflect on the background to this work. This allows you to engage with the active systemic connections and associated physical and emotional processes. The relevant patterns and attitudes will become apparent. The course covers topics such as the art of helping, appropriate non-helping, recognising one’s limits and identifying one’s strengths.

LIP – Constellations – Supervision – Gestalt therapy – Family systems

Where professional questions and personal processes meet.
We learn directly from life itself by gathering around phenomenologically-accompanied constellations and allowing ourselves to be touched by them. This applies to supervision and organisational constellations, as well as to combining the Life Integration Process (LIP according to Nelles) with various constellation formats that I have developed during the recent years.

While facilitating constellations, I share my own learning by making my inner process transparent in the daily reflection rounds. This makes the approach comprehensible. Methodologically, as in Gestalt therapy, we base our approach on immediate observation and consider the corresponding psychological, systemic and spiritual contexts.

How do we proceed?
Constellations with participants’ concerns reveal where the professional triggers the personal, and vice versa. The patterns and attitudes at work will will begin to make sense. Supervision and organisational constellations often provide a clear view of what is happening behind a case, showing where and how the working world system resonates with one’s own family system — i.e. what needs to be seen. They produce a precise spatial representation of the professional situation and one’s role within it. In terms of levels of consciousness and the LIP according to Nelles, they also point at inner conditions or ‘films’ active in the specific situation, in both the professional system and oneself. It becomes clear which of one’s own actions would be necessary and which would not. This often clarifies and simplifies matters.

What will you gain from the two-day course?
You will learn about practical supervision- and organisational-constellations. You will gain systemic insights into the relationship between professional and personal issues. You will learn how to incorporate the context of ‘organisation’ in companies, institutions or authorities into concrete supervision. You will also learn about the expanded perspective of the consciousness model and the LIP according to Nelles, as well as how to apply them in supervision. You will study the possibilities of the phenomenological approach in case work, too.

Additional benefits:

1. Appreciation:
Your work will be appreciated in several respects: in terms of your inner processes, your previous approach, and your future potential.

2. Insights into systemic backgrounds:
You will be able to observe the concrete systemic dynamics of a specific professional situation, such as the client system of the case you have brought in, the system of the institution or practice in which you work, and your role within it.

3. Insights into your own consciousness:
You will become aware of your own attitudes, motives and patterns that resonate with a case. You will understand how current difficulties could contribute to your personal development. This can help you directly to find and occupy the place of greatest strength and least effort.

4. Personal growth
With the help of supervision and organisational constellations, you can try out different attitudes towards a case and examine their effects. This often reveals unusual or previously unconsidered possibilities and alternatives with a certain ease.
